1. Do you act for other GPs?
We act for numerous GP practices ranging from sole practitioners to large partnerships. Our clients are located across South East England.
2. How long have you been working with GPs?
Justin Parfitt, our Senior Partner, has been advising NHS clients since 1994, including GPs, Health Authorities, Primary Care Trusts and the Department of Health.
3. Do you prepare practice partners' personal tax returns?
We generally prepare personal tax returns for all partners in our client practices, unless an individual partner has historically used other advisers and wishes to continue to receive their services. Where we act for all partners, we can provide consistency of advice for the whole partnership.
4. How do you charge for your services?
Our fees are fixed before we start work for you and can be fixed for more than one year.
5. How do you keep up to date?
The NHS is constantly changing and we continually update our technical expertise and general NHS awareness through a number of means:
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Healthcare Group and attendance at their events and Annual Conference .
- A strong peer network.
- Relevant NHS subscriptions and background reading.
- Attendance at tax conferences each year.
We have both PMS and GMS clients.
7. How long do you take to prepare accounts and calculate tax liabilities?
We can ensure that you will have your final accounts sent to you for signature within an agreed period of time. This is simply on the basis you provide us with all your records and answer any queries we have when we ask them. The clock stops if the ball is in your court waiting for information!
Your tax liability calculations will follow shortly afterwards.
We can prepare tax projections after preparing draft accounts where necessary.
8. Can you help us to computerise our accounts?
We have installed low cost Sage accounts software into practices to reduce the time spent keeping the practice books. This can provide additional internal financial management information and increases practice financial controls.
We can train your team to use Sage to best effect.
9. Who will be our contact?
You will have a named Partner who will act as your main point of contact and will be actively involved in all aspects of the work we do for you.
We provide a personal service and provide each client with a tailored service to optimise their financial position.

14. Do you charge for ad-hoc advice?
